Dr. Kyla Liggett-Creel is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of Research and Evaluation for Promise Heights at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. She is a board-certified Social Worker Supervisor and Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Provider. Currently. Dr. Liggett-Creel is the principal investigator for the Impact of the RECAST initiative on youth engagement, use of trauma informed mental health services, and role of grassroots agencies in implementing trauma informed community-based services. Dr. Liggett-Creel holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, an MSW from the School of Social Work, Smith College and a B.S. from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Liggett-Creel has presented on issues related to trauma, attachment, and development for a myriad of child welfare agencies and peer-review publications.
