Membership for Clinicians

Historical, societal and racial trauma have caused an intense demand in the Black community for mental health professionals who not only understand but empathize with their lives. Youth, families, community members and other BMHA members are constantly in search of a safe space where they can share what is going on in their head and a friendly face who listens without judgment or prejudice. BMHA staff daily receives calls and emails of persons looking for services and we actively seek to refer these potential clients to providers.

Persons seeking a therapist will contact BMHA either in person, over the phone or online. BMHA will quickly triage the person making the inquiry make connections that match the need. The goal is to give the person making the inquiry several providers to contact from our community of providers.
